Poetry Collection

My poetry explores themes of community, justice, family, and the work of building regenerative systems. Some pieces emerge from personal reflection, others from community gatherings and events where I practice poetic harvesting.

This section will soon feature an interactive gallery where you can explore poems by theme, format, and context. For now, here are a few pieces to give you a sense of the work.

Recent Work

”Weaving Networks”

From a community resilience workshop

We gather in circles,
not because it’s easy,
but because lines break
and circles hold.

In this room of voices
learning to trust again,
we speak of mutual aid
like prayer,
like practice,
like the thing that saves us
when systems fail.

Networks, not hierarchies.
Webs, not chains.
Connection that strengthens
when tested,
doesn’t break.

”Morning Reflections”

Personal piece

Before the children wake,
before the world demands
its daily portion of attention,
I sit with tea and silence,
remembering
who I am
beneath all the doing.

Mother, poet, organizer—
these are not separate selves
but facets of one heart
learning to hold
complexity
with grace.

”Systems Change”

From a nonprofit strategy session

They ask us to think bigger,
dream beyond
what seems possible
given current constraints.

But what if the constraint
is not money or time
but imagination?

What if we’ve been building
bridges
when what we need
is entirely new
ground?

Audio & Performance

Some of these poems are available as audio recordings, and several have been performed at events throughout Manchester and beyond. The interactive gallery (coming soon) will let you explore pieces by format - spoken word, written, and collaborative works created through poetic harvesting.

Upcoming

I’m working on new pieces exploring themes of:

  • Parenting in uncertain times
  • Regenerative economics in practice
  • The intersection of technology and community
  • What it means to build systems that actually serve life
